Our High Road is considered a Vienna Roast. A Vienna roast is notable because it's darker than a full city roast but not quite a French roast. There is more oil present on the Vienna roasts than a full city roast. As a Vienna Roast, the High Road takes on more characteristics of a dark roast and does not retain as much of its original characteristics and flavor as a lighter roast would. Our High Road roast carries notable sweetness and a citrus overtone. It is best for those who want a middle-of-the-road/lighter dark coffee with considerable body and roast.
